Dr. Alison Green is pleased to join Family Medicine Associates in the Manchester office. Dr. Green grew up quite literally in a family physician’s office in the small town of Newport, Arkansas, where her father continues to practice full time to this day. She then went on to complete her undergraduate studies at Arkansas State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2007, followed by completing medical school at the University of Arkansas College of Medicine in 2011. Dr. Green completed her residency training in Family Medicine at the University of Arkansas’ regional program in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and is now a proud diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Green spent her first few years out of residency working alongside her father and teaching in the residency program that she attended. She then decided to venture to Massachusetts along with her husband, Dr. Paul Silveri, who will also be joining Family Medicine Associates in January 2017. Drs. Green and Silveri are looking forward to settling on the North Shore and becoming involved in the local community.
Dr. Green has many interests within and outside of the practice of medicine. She very much enjoys getting to know her patients and their families and focusing on ways to encourage optimal wellness. She has a particular interest in dermatology with a focus on lesion biopsy and removal, as well as joint and trigger point injections and women’s health.
Outside of work, Dr. Green enjoys spending time with family, including her parents and grandmother back in Arkansas, sister Elizabeth, a law student at Suffolk University in Boston, her husband Paul, also a family physician, and her pets Milly and Cecil. She likes to bake, sew, crochet, cross stitch, and has a newly discovered love of learning ballet.
